We are excited to begin our World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser today, 9/11/2022. Each chocolate bar will be sold for $1. Each box has 60 candy bars containing the following flavors: Milk Chocolate with Almonds, Dark Chocolate Bars, W.F. Crisp Bars, Wafer, Milk Chocolate Bars, and Caramel Bars.
Students will bring home one box of chocolate bars at a time. Each student will need to submit $60 before receiving another box to sell.
Please double check the money before submitting to Ms. Menendez
Donations are accepted, but must be labeled as so
For every box sold, 8th graders will receive $30 towards their Carowinds Trip.
Cash is accepted as well as checks written out to CMS BAND. No online purchases may be made for this fundraiser.
The fundraiser ends on Monday, October 2nd. Please turn in the $60 at that time for your current box. No opened boxes will be accepted and students must pay the difference for the chocolate bars that were not sold. As an example: If a student sells 55 chocolate bars, then the student will pay the remaining $5 out of pocket upon submitting their money.
PRIZES:
Most Boxes sold – $100 gift Card
2nd Place – $50 Gift Card
3rd Place – $25 Gift Card
*For every box that is sold, students will gain 1 entry into a fast food gift card raffle. Four names will be drawn for the fast food gift card prizes.

District Honor Band:
It is around this time every year that we begin talking about District Honor Band and All-State Honor Band auditions. We have such a talented group this year and I am excited to begin working on this music. Each school in Georgia is zoned to a specific district. This is an audition-based group that collects the top band students in our district and combines them into an “all-region” type of band. Students learn under the baton of a guest conductor in Ringgold, Georgia, and play difficult and enjoyable music with 80 or so new friends! Auditions are on Saturday, December 2nd at Cass Middle School.
District Honor Band participation and All-State Band Participation are looked at very highly by colleges and employers because of the extra time and the personal responsibility it takes to successfully audition and make one of these prestigious bands. Should you make it, DHB is February 8th-10th in Ringgold, Georgia.
Students wishing to audition for the District Honor Band must pay a fee of $5 to participate. Students who wish to audition for All-State will speak to Ms. Menendez individually.
Please have this filled out by Friday, September 22nd.
I hope that you all enjoyed your break. There are some important forms and announcements below.
