Mandatory After School Band For Percussion

Dear Parents,

I hope you all had an amazing holiday season! I am  happy to be back with your students preparing for our next concert.

I had hoped to get this information to you yesterday, but unfortunately due to bad weather I could not.

After school band for percussion will start today. This time will be spent with Mr. Neil Bright, percussion instructor, from the high school. It is extremely important that ALL percussion members in 5th and 6th grade stay. This practice will be every Tuesday from 2:30-3:30.

Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns

Message From Principal Lawler

Dear Parents,

This is a message from Principal Lawler concerning the concert.

In response to the city of Carrollton moving the Christmas parade to Monday night, I have checked to see if there are any other days/times that we can reserve the Mabry Arts Center.  I am sorry to inform you that the MAC is completely booked for the remainder of the semester.  CES, CMS, CJHS, and CHS all have upcoming events in the performance center.  We will need to proceed with having our concert on Monday night at 7:00 pm.  The parade starts at 5:30 pm.  It is my hope that students that are in the parade or families that want to go to the parade can enjoy the parade and then make it to the performance.  Please inform your band members that even though they may miss the warm-up session, if they can make it to the MAC prior to 7:00 pm, we want them to be a part of the performance.  Please inform any student that misses the performace due to the parade that they will need to make up this “grade” by playing the playlist for you at school.  Again, I am so sorry that I could not help in this matter more than I could.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.  Have a great day.
