Week at a glance:

- Tuesday: DHB optional practice after school until 6:15 (7th and 8th grade only)
This past week was filled with some of our first performances and lots of chocolate sales! Keep up the great work and thank you to all parents and students for representing our program at the highest level!
8th Grade Night
Our 8th graders were welcomed with open arms this Friday by our high school band family during our annual 8th Grade Night performance. Dr. Carr and the CHS Band staff, parents, and students treated our 8th graders like royalty and allowed for them to get a glimpse into the life of a high school marching band member.
Thank you to all of the CMS band parents for volunteering and working with our CHS band parents to ensure that all students were fed and taken care of. It takes a village, and I hope that everyone was able to witness how truly special it is to be a Carrollton Trojan Marching Band member on a Friday night in Grisham Stadium!
Our students performed in the Carrollton High School Amphitheater (the CHAMP), marched on to the field to perform Pre Game, played stand tunes with the CHS band, and got special access to come onto the sidelines for the half time performance. Enjoy the pictures below!

Trojan Band Game
On Saturday, our students and parents showed up to prepare for our first Trojan Band game of the season. Although the weather did not work in our favor, the students still enjoyed playing music together in the high school band room and getting to hang out with students from other grades and classes in our band program. Thank you to all of our parents who were helpful and to our students for being so flexible and full of energy!
Our next game is October 10th at 10 AM in Grisham Stadium! We look forward to getting in the stands and playing for our CMS Trojan football team. Although this is the beginning of our Fall break, we hope to have a big turnout again from or CMS band members!
