Chocolate bar fundraiser

We are so excited to start our annual chocolate bar fundraiser!

Below are some important notes about our fundraiser:

  • CHOCOLATE BAR PERMISSION FORM
  • All students must have a form filled out EACH time they would like to check out a box of chocolate. Each box is $60 and all $60 must be submitted once the 60 chocolates have been sold.
  • All students will receive their chocolate box at the end of the school day. They will come during dismissal to pick up their box once the form has been completed. Students may not carry the box around during the school day.
  • 7th/8th grade may only sell during the school day if it is at the end of the class with teacher approval. 6th graders may not sell during the school day.
  • To purchase multiple boxes at a time, please email maria.menendez@carrolltoncityschools.net
    • This is fantastic for businesses and companies who may benefit from selling them and supporting our band program!

Please read the paper below that students received in class.

We are excited to begin our World’s Finest Chocolate Fundraiser today, 9/9/2025. Each chocolate bar will be sold for $1. Each box has 60 candy bars containing the following flavors: Milk Chocolate with Almonds, Dark Chocolate Bars, W.F. Crisp Bars, Wafer, Milk Chocolate Bars, and Caramel Bars.

Students will bring home one box of chocolate bars at a time. Each student will need to submit $60 before receiving another box to sell.

  • Please double-check the money before submitting to Ms. Menendez
  • Donations are accepted, but must be labeled as so

For every box sold, 8th graders will receive $30 towards their Carowinds Trip. The trip costs $298 per student.

Cash is accepted as well as checks written out to CMS BAND. No online purchases may be made for this fundraiser.

CAUTION: Warm temperatures will melt the chocolate. Do NOT leave chocolate bars in vehicles or warm spaces. We will NOT accept any damaged or melted chocolate.

The fundraiser ends on Monday, October 6th. Please turn in the $60 at that time for your current box. No opened boxes will be accepted and students must pay the difference for the chocolate bars that were not sold. As an example: If a student sells 55 chocolate bars, then the student will pay the remaining $5 out of pocket upon submitting their money.

PRIZES:

  • Most Boxes sold – $100 gift Card
  • 2nd Place – $50 Gift Card
  • 3rd Place – $25 Gift Card

*On Tuesday, October 21st, students who have sold at least one box of chocolates will be admitted FREE into our Chocolate Bar party! Students will participate in a glow party, get an ice cream sundae bar, and play outside on an inflatable obstacle course.

I am excited to raise funds for our band program to purchase equipment, music, and instruments. Thank you for your participation!

Happy selling and go Trojans!

Sincerely,

Ms. Maria Menendez

9/8-9/12

Happy Sunday!

Thank you to those of you who participated in our first Trojan Band game of the year! The CMS Football teams were great, the cheerleaders were spirited, and the band was energetic. I am so thankful for the parents who helped behind the scenes and to the students for bringing the focus and the energy. We also had some of our high school band members join us which was an honor. What a big family we have! We were almost 130 strong and I hope to be even bigger on the 27th of September at 10 AM!
